Monica Rains, Chief Nursing Officer

Monica Rains, BSN, RN, is the chief nursing officer for UF Health Rehab Hospital. In this role since January 2023, she oversees nursing, wound care and respiratory programs to provide for the highest quality of care and service for the patients.

Monica has over 15 years of experience in healthcare, beginning her career as a stroke/cardiac rehab nurse at Brooks Rehabilitation Hospital in Jacksonville, FL. Most recently, Monica served as nurse manager at Select Specialty Hospital – Gainesville.

Monica earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from University of Kentucky and a master’s degree in health administration from the University of West Florida.
